Cover Dimensions and Fit
Cover dimensions
The M Comnova 46-Inch 600D Barrel Grill Cover measures 46 inches in length, 23 inches in width, and 48.5 inches in height. This size is specifically engineered to fit Char-Griller barrel grills without a side fire box. In contrast, the M Comnova 600D Camp Chef FTG600 Griddle Cover is longer and shorter, measuring 63.5 inches long, 22 inches wide, and 36 inches high. The griddle cover is designed for flat top grills like the Camp Chef FTG600. You must choose the cover that matches your appliance shape and exact footprint to ensure proper protection.
Appliance compatibility
Compatibility is the primary differentiator between these two covers. The barrel grill cover is made for Char-Griller models such as the 2121, 2828, 2727, 2929, 1329, and 2799, provided they lack a side fire box. The griddle cover is built for Camp Chef flat tops, including the FTG600, FTG600P, and FTG600GL. Using the wrong cover leaves your equipment exposed. You need to verify your specific grill model against the compatible appliance list before purchasing to avoid a poor fit that compromises weather protection.
Material density
Both products utilize 600D Oxford fabric, which provides a heavy-duty foundation for outdoor protection. This fabric density offers strong resistance against tears and abrasions from wind or debris. The M Comnova 46-Inch cover and the M Comnova 600D Camp Chef cover share this same material specification. This consistency means you get similar durability levels regardless of which appliance you are covering. The 600D rating ensures the material is thick enough to withstand regular outdoor use without thinning out quickly over time.
Waterproof coating
Each cover features a PU coating to ensure super waterproof performance. This lining keeps your smoker or griddle dry during rain, snow, or heavy dew. The barrel grill cover uses this coating to protect against moisture damage on charcoal units. The griddle cover also relies on this PU layer to repel water while remaining more breathable than PVC alternatives. This shared feature means both products effectively shield your equipment from moisture-related issues, keeping rust and corrosion at bay during wet seasons.
UV resistance
Both covers are rated to withstand at least three years of UV aging. This rating comes from strict UV testing that reproduces damage caused by sunlight, rain, and dew. The fading-resistant design helps keep your grill looking new for years. Whether you buy the barrel cover or the griddle cover, you get the same level of sun protection. This durability ensures that the fabric does not crack or fade prematurely, maintaining its protective integrity against harsh outdoor conditions over a long period.
Closure mechanism
Each product includes adjustable velcro magic bands on the sides to secure the cover. This closure type helps tighten the fit and prevents the cover from blowing off in strong winds. The velcro allows for some flexibility in fit, accommodating minor size variations. This feature is present on both the 46-inch barrel cover and the Camp Chef griddle cover. You can easily adjust the tension to ensure a snug fit, which is crucial for keeping out dust, leaves, and wind-driven debris during storms.

The longer length accommodates the extended cooking surface of your griddle while the PU coating provides waterproof protection.
