6 Best Alternatives to the PLOSIF 28-Inch Silicone Griddle Mat (2026)

How each alternative compares

Grilliance 27-Piece Griddle Accessories Kit

The Grilliance kit replaces a protective mat with a full utensil set. It weighs 6.28 pounds and measures 14.8 by 12 inches. You get 27 pieces of stainless steel hibachi tools. This option is for cooks who need scrapers and presses more than a silicone cover. It lacks the 28-inch surface shield of the PLOSIF mat. The PLOSIF model protects the entire cooking area from rain and pollen. The Grilliance kit focuses on food prep tools. You should choose this if your griddle already has a cover and you need cooking accessories. It fits outdoor placement and includes a cover for the tools themselves.

EWFEN 35-Piece Stainless Steel Griddle Kit

The EWFEN kit offers 35 pieces of stainless steel accessories for camping. It weighs less than the PLOSIF mat at just 3 inches high and 13 inches long. The black finish matches outdoor gear. This set is ideal for campers who prioritize tool variety over surface protection. It does not cover a 28-inch griddle surface. The PLOSIF mat provides a vacuum-like seal against debris. The EWFEN kit provides spatulas and scrapers instead. You should pick this if you travel with your griddle and need portable tools. It is less effective for stationary rust prevention. The kit includes a cover for the utensils, keeping them organized during transport.

NancyL 28-Inch Silicone Griddle Mat

The NancyL mat is a budget-friendly alternative for standard 28-inch Blackstone griddles. It features taller walls at 2 inches high compared to the PLOSIF 0.8-inch design. This higher profile offers more robust protection against deep water pooling. The NancyL model is slightly wider at 19 inches versus 18 inches. It weighs 2.25 pounds. The PLOSIF mat is thinner and lighter. You should choose NancyL if you want maximum debris trapping in harsh weather. The PLOSIF option is better for easy folding and storage. Both mats are orange and fit non-XL models. The NancyL design prioritizes coverage depth over compact storage convenience.

OZG 22-Inch Silicone Griddle Mat

The OZG mat is designed for smaller 22-inch Blackstone units. It measures 29.1 by 17.7 inches with 0.99-inch walls. This size does not fit 28-inch griddles. The PLOSIF mat is specifically engineered for the larger 28-inch surface. The OZG model weighs only 1.23 pounds, making it very portable. It provides a secure fit for smaller appliances. You should pick this if you own a 22-inch griddle. The PLOSIF mat would be too large and loose. Both options offer silicone protection against rust and pollen. The OZG model is a specialized fit for a different appliance size. It ensures full surface contact without gaps on smaller units.

Royal Gourmet 4-Burner Gas Griddle with Hard Cover

The Royal Gourmet is a complete 4-burner gas griddle, not a mat. It weighs 126 pounds and measures 63.9 by 28.1 inches. This appliance replaces the need for a protective cover entirely. It includes a hard cover for storage. The PLOSIF mat is an accessory for an existing griddle. The Royal Gourmet provides independent heat zones and high output. You should choose this if you need a dedicated cooking station. It is not a substitute for a mat on another grill. The hard cover protects the entire unit when not in use. This option is for serious outdoor cooks who want a permanent fixture. It offers cooking capability rather than just surface protection.

Pit Boss 4-Burner Portable Lift-Off Propane Griddle

The Pit Boss is a portable 4-burner propane griddle with a ceramic surface. It weighs 126 pounds and measures 63 by 29 inches. This unit includes a hard cover. It is a dedicated cooking appliance, not a silicone mat. The PLOSIF mat protects an existing Blackstone griddle. The Pit Boss offers high heat and portability. You should pick this if you need a self-contained cooking station. It does not fit over another grill. The hard cover protects the ceramic surface from weather. This option is for users who want a heavy-duty alternative to simple accessories. It provides full cooking functionality rather than just protection for an existing surface.
