Who it fits
Good fit for
This mat suits Blackstone owners who want year-round protection for their griddle. It is ideal for those living in areas with heavy pollen, snow, or rain. The high-walled design helps trap debris, making it a good choice for users who prefer minimal maintenance. Since it is dishwasher safe, it works well for people who want a low-effort cleaning routine. The durable silicone construction also appeals to those concerned about chemical leaching or warping from sun exposure.
Who should skip it
If you own a non-Blackstone griddle, this mat may not fit properly. The product is custom-engineered specifically for Blackstone models, so compatibility with other brands is not guaranteed. Additionally, if you need a cover for a different size, such as 22-inch or 36-inch, you must choose a different variation from the available options. The orange color is fixed for this specific listing, so buyers looking for other color choices should check the other variations. It is also not a cooking surface, so it does not replace your griddle.
Verdict: The PLOSIF 28-Inch Silicone Griddle Mat offers robust, spec-driven protection for Blackstone owners who prioritize durability and ease of cleaning. Its precise dimensions and heat-resistant silicone make it a practical accessory for maintaining your outdoor cooking equipment.
PLOSIF 28-Inch Mat Key Specs
Size: 28" x 18.1" x 0.8"
This dimension ensures the mat covers the entire cooking surface of a 28-inch Blackstone griddle. The 18.1-inch width matches the standard grate spacing, while the 0.8-inch height refers to the raised wall edge. This specific footprint prevents gaps where rain or debris could enter. You should verify your griddle model matches this length to ensure full protection without overhang.
Material: 100% Food-Grade Silicone
The mat is constructed from silicone that is safe for food contact environments. This material choice means it does not contain BPA or other harmful chemicals that might leach when exposed to heat. Unlike cheaper rubber alternatives, this silicone remains odor-free and does not warp under sunlight. It provides a non-stick surface that repels grease, making cleanup simple and safe for your family.
Heat Resistance: Up to 450°F
The silicone material can withstand temperatures up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit without degrading. This rating allows you to place the mat on a warm griddle after cooking without causing damage or melting. It ensures the cover remains durable during seasonal temperature swings. You do not need to worry about the mat softening or losing its shape when left on a recently used outdoor cooking surface.
Color: Orange
The mat is produced in a bright orange hue. This high-visibility color makes it easy to locate in your outdoor kitchen storage area or on a deck. It stands out against typical black griddle surfaces and neutral patio tones. While color does not affect performance, it aids in quick identification and retrieval when you need to cover or uncover your griddle for maintenance.
Compatible Appliance: Griddle
This product is engineered specifically for use with flat-top griddles, particularly Blackstone models. It is not designed for pizza ovens, charcoal grills, or standard gas burners. The shape and wall height are tailored to trap moisture and debris on rectangular cooking surfaces. Ensure your outdoor cooking equipment matches this compatibility before purchasing to avoid fit issues or inadequate protection for your appliance.
Design and Build Quality
According to the listing, the PLOSIF 28-Inch Silicone Griddle Mat is constructed from heavy-duty, food-grade silicone. This material choice is significant for outdoor use. The product includes a protective cover and is available in orange. It is described as dishwasher safe, allowing for low-maintenance care.
